SEED VESSELS

Growing up on the prairie as a child of agrarian background, I saw first hand what grew from the Earth with the scattering of seeds. Now at home, I saw plants emerge from seeds scattered by wind, birds and me.

After I moved my studio home and started to work on my wheel I wondered. "What do I make here?...and why?...for whom?"

Small intimate forms turned out from the clay cradled between my hands. In this new basic studio, I decided to work with the limited material available, to create vessels about who I am at this moment of transition.
